Pomona: Cider and Scientists in Restoration England
A lecture at Hereford Cider Museum

As part of a series of events this year celebrating John Evelyn and his contemporaries, Hereford Cider Museum is hosting a lecture by Oxford don Dr William Poole about cider and the leading figures of science in the seventeenth century.
Dr Poole is Tutorial Fellow in English and Fellow Librarian at New College, Oxford and has written extensively on early-modern literary and intellectual history.
The evening will include a glass of Herefordshire cider and a private view of the Evelyn exhibition including a fine portrait of John Evelyn painted circa 1650, currently on loan to Hereford Cider Museum from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
