Introductory Workshops on HEA Fellowship Recognition via The Worcester Scheme will be taking place on Wednesday 9th March 2016, 12:15 – 13:15 in Room BY1151
These workshops introduce Worcester’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme for professional recognition accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Each session outlines:
- What is the Worcester CPD Scheme and its role in maintaining and improving teaching quality, including its relationship to the UK Professional Standards framework (UKPSF)
- Which categories (Associate fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow) are appropriate for different staff
- The processes that have to be undertaken to achieve recognition under Worcester’s CPD Scheme
- How the framework is expected to support maintenance of on-going good standing in the development of teaching and learning practice
The workshop aims to help staff understand The Worcester (CPD) Scheme, to make a decision regarding which is the right recognition route for them (in some instances this may be determined by probationary requirements) then, as appropriate, to start to plan to complete the application process.
For information the 2015/16 submission deadlines for the Worcester Scheme is 5th April 2016.
As above to find out dates and to book please go to staff development booking system via the staff portal where these sessions are listed under the ‘academic development’ option.
