Long Live Shakespeare event at The Hive

“Long Live Shakespeare” Saturday 23 April 2016 10am-4pm, The Hive

To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death on 23 April, there’s to be a ‘Long Live Shakespeare’ celebration all day in The Hive starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm.

Visitors to The Hive that day will encounter favourite Shakespeare characters in unlikely locations; experience and even contribute to a Shakespeare Word Shower, take a selfie holding up a well-known line from a play or poem, listen to a human sonnet, watch a dance from West Side Story, sample the Shakespeare Music Box, enjoy some Shakespeare-themed food in the café and give little children an opportunity to act out a familiar story from Shakespeare. The whole idea is to have as much fun as possible with the work of the local lad from Stratford-upon-Avon who made good on a global scale for four hundred years.

Everybody welcome.
