Realising Excellence: a whole University engagement with teaching and learning
What makes excellent teaching? What is excellent about teaching here at Worcester?
Teaching excellence is very much on the higher education agenda at present (look out for the HE White Paper and the TEF Consultation due to be published later this week). Developing a shared University vision of excellence in learning and teaching will help us realise our ambitions to provide an outstanding education for all University students.
The ‘Teaching Excellence Tree’
Share your thoughts on these important topics by visiting the tree sculpture in main reception (St John’s campus). Simply fill in one of the tags and hang it on the tree. Encourage students to contribute too.
Your comments will help us to reflect on teaching excellence and will inform discussions across the University over the coming months.
Tuesday 13 September 2016, 10.00- 13.00: A whole University engagement with learning and teaching
The aim of this half-day is to develop a shared vision of excellence in learning and teaching through cross-University collaboration and conversation, in order to:
- Identify priorities for realising excellence in learning and teaching
- Capture and disseminate existing great practice in teaching
- Suggest cross-Institute working groups/communities of practice in key areas of learning and teaching.
