Urgent Volunteers Needed for BBC Project Starting this Week

The University of Worcester is working with the BBC Trust Me I’m a Doctor programme exploring ‘what’s the deal with gluten’. Eating a gluten-free diet is becoming increasingly popular as more people believe it to be healthier. The prime-time BBC 2 programme is exploring whether there is any truth in this.

The University’s Institute of Health and Society and Institute of Environment and Science are working together to run a trial for the BBC and are seeking volunteers to take part.

Participants must be aged over 18 and not currently eating a gluten-free diet. There are other exclusion criteria, such as those who suffer from hayfever and asthma.

Filming starts at the University on Thursday this week (June 9) and participants will be expected to be available for filming on other dates in June and July.
