Women’s History Network Midlands Region Conference, ‘Volunteers and Voters: The First World War and its Legacy’, 12 November 2016, 10.30am-4.00pm

This year’s Women’s History Network Midlands Region Conference entitled ‘Volunteers and Voters: The First World War and its Legacy’ will take place at the University of Worcester (St John’s Campus) on Saturday, 12 November 2016, 10.30am – 4.00pm, Worcester Room (CC 004). As always we have a wide and varied programme considering topics ranging from communal dining to the Women’s War Agricultural Committees. Papers address local, national and transatlantic aspects of female volunteerism and one of the war’s significant legacies the vote for women.
