You are cordially invited to
My Big Fat Cowpat Wedding
Thursday 13th October, 7.30pm, St John’s Campus.
By Sayan Kent
The wedding reception for a marriage between an English county girl and an Indian lad from the city. With all their friends and family.
What could possibly go wrong?
This fast moving new comedy drama is full of misunderstanding and mishaps with plenty of neat twists and a disco/Bhangra dance for everyone to join in at the end. Everyone loves a wedding don’t they?
The play is based on real experiences of mixed marriages or rural weddings attended by city dwellers out of their comfort zone. From interviews, writer Sayan Kent has created a fun, light hearted exploration of relationships across the divides of rural/urban, race and age. This is the first theatre piece that has been commissioned and created especially by and for rural touring schemes that explores relationships across the urban/rural and cultural divides.
Dress – Smart casual, Hats welcome, wellington boots optional!
