The University of Worcester wheelchair basketball society need your help! The upcoming University Championships on March 3rd and 4th have been moved from the University of Worcester arena where it has been hosted for several years to a new venue in Manchester.
We need to raise funds to support our team attending the University Championships, an event in which we are current reigning National Champions! On Friday 24th we will be hosting a sponsored push event which will be a unique and fully inclusive event open to all staff and students at the University.
The event involves using specialised wheelchair treadmills known as Invictus active trainers and sitting in a day chair and pushing as a team for one hour. The team who accumulates the most miles in an hour will be crowned wheel to victory champions!
The entry fee will be £20 for each team payable on the day and we recommend teams of ten members but you can have more or less. So, if you think your institute, department or academic staff members have what it takes to wheel to victory please complete the following information. All available time slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
