Education Show 2017

Education Show 2017 NEC Birmingham – 16 March

On Thursday 16 March two lecturers from Institute of Education/Centre for Children and Families have been invited to speak at the Education show in Birmingham. Janet Harvell and Alison Prowle will be talking about ‘Including Refugee Children in Your Setting’ as a result of visiting the Dunkirk Refugee Camp at Grande Synthe. This was the result of one of the centre’s Learning and Teaching projects, prompted by the unfolding Refugee crisis and an ongoing commitment to understanding and working with children and their families globally. This follows a successful Early Years Conference on ‘Lived experiences of refugee children and their families’ which was preceded by a themed week of teaching activities.

On the same day one of our Graduates – Stacey Hodgkins who completed the FdA in EY and BA (Hons) IWCF is speaking about ‘Being an early years manager in a time of change’.
