The Sexuality in Performance Showcase
at Worcester Arts Workshop, Friday 26 May at 8pm
Come along to an evening of queer performance, cabaret, poetry and song by artists associated with Worcestershire. The event will be hosted by Worcester’s queer superstar Ginny Lemon (who may be persuaded to sing a few hits) and will feature performance poet Jack Bateman who reached the finals of the Hammer and Tongue national poetry slam 2016 at The Royal Albert Hall, with his explosive brand of queer poetry. The event will feature performances by students, staff and alumni of the Sexuality in Performance module of the University of Worcester’s Drama and Performance degree. Proceeds from the event will go to Worcestershire Pride.
Worcestershire Pride is a volunteer run community group dedicated to providing cultural and social events for and by LGBT+ people in Worcestershire, throughout the year, culminating in a Worcestershire Pride day of celebration on 23 September 2017 at the Fountains and Copenhangen Street in Worcester.
