Worcester Show 13 August and other events in our Parks

The Worcester Show takes place on Sunday 13 August in Gheluvelt Park, and the Summer is rounded off with One World on Our Park at Fort Royal Park on Monday 28 August – join us to celebrate the best of what our City has to offer!

Worcester Show

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: PHOTOS 5pm 2 AUGUST, OTHER ENTRIES 10am MONDAY 7 AUGUST A popular free event for all the family, the 12th Worcester Show returns to Gheluvelt Park this August. There’s still time to volunteer, or show off your growing, crafting, baking or artistic skills by entering one of over 130 classes! Or just turn up on the day to marvel at the skills on show. Summer Multi-sports Programme

When: Summer Holidays 24 July to 25 August, 11:30 – 17:00 Where: Various venues across Worcester Cost: FREE

Free multi-sports activities for 2-18 year olds, including cricket, tennis, football and more! All you need to do is turn up, sign in and take part. Parental consent needed for under 16’s. Junior Fitness Camps

When: Wednesday 30th of August 2017 10.30am – 1.30pm Where: Gheluvelt Park, meet outside the Pump House Cafe WR1 3EZ Cost: £15.00 per session.

Fun, all inclusive fitness training for Juniors. Suitable for ages 8-15 years, and all levels of ability. Designed to improve the junior’s overall fitness, strength and stamina with a variety of games, drills and exercises; individually, in pairs and in teams. The Camp aims to increase self confidence, self esteem, respect and discipline, through Team Building and problem solving games. Water and a healthy snack is provided within the cost. Bands in the Park at Cripplegate Park and Gheluvelt Park

When: 14:00 – 16:00, Sundays 7 May to Sunday 17 September Cost: FREE Where: Cripplegate Park, Gheluvelt Park

Walkways Sensory Strolls for people living with Dementia

When: 10:15 – 11:00am, Wednesday 16th Aug, 6th & 20th Sept, 3rd & 18th Oct Where: Meet at the Pump House Environment Centre in Gheluvelt Park Cost: £2 (carers/family members free)

Nature Tots

When:  Tuesday 15 August from 10.30am – 12pm

Where: Pumphouse Environment Centre, Riverside Conservation Area, WR1 3EZ

Cost: £2.50

A great way for early years (ages 2-4) to get messy and engage in the outdoors! Each session follows a wildlife theme, learning something new every month. Including stories, outdoor games, guided activities and creative crafts, Nature Tots is perfect for helping your little ones to get wild.

One World in Our Park
