Marketing at The Hive

The Hive is a truly unique building that can offer a unique experience. Based at The Hive, is the marketing and events team consisting of Communications officer, Beth Campagna, Events Manager, Caroline Hill and myself, Oliver Willis.

I am a full time Marketing and Communications Officer based at The Hive. I run all communications going to the media and the public and help to promote and market events in conjunction with my colleagues.

I work closely with both the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council communications teams and am able to utilize their resources to the benefit of The Hive.

Looking forward I am aiming to make the marketing and communications we do more pro-active. Liaising more with organizers of events to be able to plan, as far in advance as possible, how we can promote it, where the best places to do so are and when it should begin.

We have a host of marketing tools at our disposal and one of the most long-standing and most visual is the What’s On guide we publish three times a year. The summer guide has just been released and is now available at various places across the county.

I also aim to improve our social media reach and content and am looking for volunteers, preferably University of Worcester students who have an interest in social media and want to get some experience contributing to the accounts of an iconic building.

If you know any students who may be interested in getting involved or you have some ideas on how we can improve our marketing then please do get in touch with me on owillis@worcestershire.gov.uk I would love to hear from you.
