Staff may have seen in the local media last week the story of 5-year-old Oscar Saxelby-Lee who urgently needs a stem cell donor: https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/17428502.only-3-months-to-save-life-of-oscar-5-desperate-appeal-for-donor-to-help-sick-worcester-boy/
Oscar, a pupil at Pitmaston Primary School in Worcester, was diagnosed with Leukaemia over the Christmas break and is receiving treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The school is holding a DKMS blood stem cell donor registration event on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March and would like to encourage as many people as possible to register. It will run from 9am to 3pm both days and people will be asked to complete a form and provide a sample in the form of a mouth swab. For more information visit https://www.dkms.org.uk/en/register-now
There is also a justgiving page where people are invited to donate to support Oscar and his family: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hand-in-handforoscarsaxelby-lee
