University of Worcester Nursing graduate, Brooke Evans, will be taking part in a 300-mile bike ride from London to Paris this week to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia – the University’s Charity of the Year.
Brooke, who now works as a haematology nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on the same floor in the building where she received life-saving treatment five years earlier, is a champion for the charity, raising awareness of the disease and raising thousands of pounds.
Earlier this year staff at the University selected Cure Leukaemia as their Charity of the Year after hearing about Brooke’s inspirational story.
The cycle ride begins on Thursday and finishes on Sunday. You can show your support by donating through Brooke’s JustGiving page.
