The VC’s Green Impact team are pleased to announce that we are organising a Book and Bake sale as part of Go Green Week in the Hanger on 12th February 2020. We will also have a raffle and quiz with prizes for the winners. It’s all in aid of the charity Toilet Twinning with the aim to twin the toilets by the Made restaurant at St John’s Campus.
2.3 billion people in the world don’t have somewhere safe to go to the toilet – that’s nearly 7 times the population of the USA! By twinning our toilets we help to fund a project in a poor community that will enable families to build a basic toilet, have access to clean water and learn about hygiene – this is a vital combination that saves lives.
