Deadline for moving to Blackboard / Turnitin for managing assessments

Over the last few years, the Electronic Management of Assessment project has assisted many course teams to move to using Blackboard or the integrated Turnitin tool for managing assessments. From September 2020, the SOLE assessment tool will no longer be available, and all appropriate assessments will need to be submitted through Blackboard. If you’re not yet using Blackboard for this purpose, there is lots of help available so you can be ready to go by the deadline.

The project team has found that the transition has worked best when course or Department teams receive training and discuss the process as a group, and you are strongly recommended to arrange this by contacting the Technology Enhanced Learning Team via TEL@worc.ac.uk. There is also lots of information on the TEL webpages at https://uwtel.co.uk/ema/ including guidance on how to manage different assessment types; step by step instructions on setting up a Turnitin assessment point, marking and providing feedback; health and safety guidance; and top tips and feedback from academic staff already using the system. The Turnitin Guide can also be accessed from within Blackboard.
