Professor Dawn Brooker receives MBE at Windsor Castle

More than a year after being recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours for services to supporting those living with dementia, Professor Dawn Brooker has now formally received her MBE.

Dawn was presented with the award during a special investiture at Windsor Castle. It comes just as Dawn, who has dedicated more than 35 years of her life to helping improve care for people living with dementia, is about to retire from the University at the end of March. Dawn established and became the founding Director of the University’s Association for Dementia Studies in 2009. There will be a chance to say a proper goodbye to Dawn in the coming weeks but for now we wish you huge congratulations on the MBE Dawn and very warm wishes for the future.
