Changing behaviour: Creating effective learning environments and positive learning relationships.

This Share and Inspire workshop aims to provide a solution focused and interactive session exploring how we may create effective learning environments, positive learning relationships and classroom civility in the context of Higher Education. It is aimed at those colleagues who wish to explore the challenges of managing classes, keeping students ‘on task’ and dealing with minor disruptive behaviours, whilst creating a culture of mutual respect and positive engaged student learning. It offers a variety of examples of pro-active and reactive strategies that have proven successful for presenting colleagues; draws upon research and literature in the field and; invites you to critically reflect upon your own practice and role in creating an effective learning environment. Future opportunities will be available with peer-supported clinics and reciprocal review of practice.
