Gift Donations wanted for Worcester Foodbank

Poverty affects more than one in four children in the UK today. And that means many children will wake up on Christmas Day without any presents to open. During the festive period, many families find themselves getting into debt as they try to provide for their children.

This Christmas, Worcester Foodbank is asking for donations of presents that can be given to those most in need. The Students’ Union is offering their support and asking for donations of presents to be dropped off at the Welcome Desk between now and Friday 14 December.

Presents must be no more than £15 and targeted at children aged between 0-18 years old. Please don’t donate clothing/electrical games or games that require batteries and make sure presents are left unwrapped. This is so presents can be matched to each child personally.

A box will be left behind the Welcome Desk in the Students’ Union for any donations from staff or students, which will then be dropped off weekly at the foodbank.

You have until Friday 14 December to make a donation.
