This year we received almost 600 nominations from students for the Union Awards: Students’ Choice. This was a 98% increase on last year’s total nominations. Congratulations to all those nominated.
The Union Awards: Students Choice celebrates the hard work of teaching and support staff here at the University of Worcester, from Outstanding Lecturers, to Personal Academic Tutors, to those members of support staff who consistently go the extra mile. All of the winners were initially shortlisted from the nominations submitted by students, with the Institute of Education receiving the most nominations. A panel consisting of Institute Reps and Euan Morrison, our VP Education, then chose the winners. The night ended with Deputy Vice Chancellor, Sarah Greer, presenting her very own special award. The recipient of this award was Lisa Griffiths of the Institute of Sport & Exercise Science.
The Students’ Union will be producing profiles for all the winners of the Union Awards: Student Choice. Our Student Engagement team will be in touch with winners within the next few weeks.
And once more, we would like to congratulate all members of staff who were nominated for the Awards!
