Becoming an External Examiner – staff development workshop

This staff development workshop is for academics considering becoming an external examiner for the first time.

The role of an external examiner is multi-faceted and enables an academic engaging in this work an opportunity to influence the quality of the student experience, not only in the institution in which you officiate but also within your own context. The session will consider the policy context of external examining, the role and expectations placed upon external examiners and how to find external examiner vacancies.
